GATE 2026 registration starts August 25; IIT Guwahati to conduct exam with new paper and updated schedule.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati). The registration process for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25, 2025. Interested candidates can apply online until September 25, 2025, without any late fees. The last date to apply with a late fee is October 6, 2025.

GATE 2026 will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, across multiple cities in India. The exam serves as a gateway for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering and technology, and for recruitment in various public sector undertakings (PSUs).
