With the third round of undergraduate admissions underway at the University of Delhi for the 2025–26 academic year, students navigating the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) are being urged to make informed choices. Delhi University’s Dean of Admissions has advised applicants to focus on selecting the right program rather than simply aiming for a top-ranked college.
“Choose your program, not just the college,” the Dean said, emphasizing the importance of long-term academic and career goals over brand perception. He added that selecting a subject aligned with one’s interests and strengths will prove more valuable than a popular institution name on the degree.
The third round of CSAS admissions was opened last week and includes multiple processes: upgrades, fresh allocations, mid-entry applications, and seats under CW (Children of War Widows), ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities), Sports, and Ward quotas. According to the university’s schedule, the allocation results for this round will be declared on August 13.
Meanwhile, classes across DU colleges began on August 1, even as thousands of students continue to wait for allocation updates or better opportunities in preferred programs.
Students are encouraged to regularly check the CSAS portal, respond to allocation offers within the deadlines, and stay updated on further rounds if they have not yet secured admission.
